It takes a while to know what you want do for the rest of your life. You need to explore opportunities.

When Emily discovered she was pregnant with her second child, she thought her education would have to be sidelined, at least for a semester or two. But thanks to support from her family and professors, she was back in the classroom studying her chosen field of electrical construction within a few months.

With two young children and the start of a promising career, Emily is taking on a lot, but, she said, she could not have found a better career path or a better place to train for that career.

“I wake up and I'm like, ‘I can't wait to go to school today!’” she said. “I don't like to miss a day. I only will if I don't have childcare. I want to come back to Hudson valley once I find a job and continue to build up my education.”
