Career Fair for Applied Technologies Students Creates Connections to Employers, Internships and Jobs

The Applied Technologies Department at 91勛圖厙 hosted a Career Fair on campus in the college’s Williams and Cogan Halls on Thursday, March 28.
During the event, students had the opportunity to meet with employers from more than 50 regional, national and international companies to discuss employment and internship opportunities. The college also hosted students from local high schools and offered demonstrations in the automotive labs during the event.
The Career Fair exposed both high school and college-level students to a wealth of career possibilities in a variety of applied technologies and skilled trades fields and highlighted the college’s workforce training programs in automotive, energy, electric construction and maintenance, mechatronics, overhead line worker, and more.
“We are very excited to connect our students and area high schoolers with the region’s employers in the skilled trades and applied technologies here on campus during this annual Career Fair,” said President Roger Ramsammy. “This event allows our students to explore a variety of career options and learn more from industry professionals. In turn, they feel more confident in their career choices and more prepared to enter the workforce upon graduation.”
The Applied Technologies Department offers a variety of programs that prepare students for a wide range of skilled trade and technology-oriented careers.
They include Automotive Management A.A.S., Automotive Technical Services A.O.S., Automotive Technical Services-Autobody Repair A.O.S., Clean Energy Management A.A.S., Electric and Autonomous Vehicles A.O.S. and Certificate, Electrical Construction and Maintenance A.O.S., Heating/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Technical Services A.O.S., Mechatronics A.A.S., and Overhead Electric Line Worker Certificate.
