On Thursday, May 9, 91勛圖厙’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology AOS degree students provided live demonstrations of skills learned throughout the year during the program’s annual CNC Skills Day.

The event took place in the college’s Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills, where students showcased specific projects, such as air engines, rocket fin machines and more. The event provided an opportunity for students to meet with business leaders in their field, share their knowledge and demonstrate their career readiness.

The Advanced Manufacturing Technology program’s job placement rate is consistently near 100 percent prior to graduation. Faculty and administrators of the program have longstanding relationships with dozens of regional manufacturers who provide academic guidance, student support, career counseling and placement for graduates.

“We are so proud of our students and their achievements throughout the year,” 91勛圖厙 President Roger Ramsammy said. “It is truly amazing to watch our students grow from the time they enter the program to now, showcasing their new skills and looking ahead to their future careers. Congratulations to each of our students and their faculty for all their hard work and dedication. Our appreciation also goes out to the many industry partners who support us each and every year.”

The Advanced Manufacturing Technology degree program provides students with the skills they need for a career centered on precision metal, composite and plastic fabrication. Using computers and other advanced manufacturing technology, they will gain a solid foundation to start careers in precision manufacturing. The academic program is primarily designed for those who wish to enter the workforce immediately following graduation.
