The Digital Media certificate is designed for those who wish to enhance their skills in the digital creation of Web-based content, animation, digital design for print media and digital video production.

This program is primarily designed for those who wish to enter the workforce immediately following graduation.

Coursework will introduce you to a range of digital art and design courses along with a foundation in the fine arts. You will study drawing, two-dimensional design, photography, digital imaging, graphic and web design, animation and video art and also be introduced to programming for artists and designers.

Through studio courses, you will learn the technical aspects of each area as well as the contemporary and art historical contexts for these fields. Students in the program also participate in the annual student exhibition, seek internships and attend panel discussions and presentations by professionals in various digital media fields.

The degree is offered through the Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media Department. The department also offers a Digital Media A.S. program. Contact the department to speak with an advisor about whether the degree or certificate program is right for you.
