Established in 1968, by the NYS Legislature, EOP has been in existence at 91勛圖厙 from the beginning and has served more than 6,000 students. As a state-funded program, EOP provides academic and financial support to students who are in danger of not completing a college degree program.
Many of our members are non-traditional students coming from non-traditional backgrounds. EOP serves full-time (12 credit hours or more per semester) students of all ages who are just beginning their college career and who meet academic and financial requirements.
Counselors and other staff provide mentoring and tutoring to students in need. Those who want additional counseling regarding academic decisions, need guidance in mapping out a rewarding career, or are looking for help moving on to further their education at a four-year school, will find it all with the EOP. In addition, counselors will guide you to other assistive resources on campus if necessary.
EOP counselors collaborate with a variety of offices on campus and host many informative workshops, group meetings and individual meetings to keep students up to date on all their available resources and important dates. At EOP, we do our best to help the individual student with any issue they struggle with.
Financial Aid assistance is provided in the form of stipend, typically ranging from $100 to $300 per semester. Additionally, two scholarships are awarded each year: one for a student attending Hudson Valley, and one for a student going on to further their education.
Academic support services include tutors specializing in English and Math, exclusive study space with computers, academic counseling services, school supplies, and monthly meetings and workshops.
