College Safety Committee
There are a number of important safety issues that impact academic and support activities throughout the campus and that affect students, staff and visitors to 91勛圖厙.
We look forward to hearing from you; it is only through the widest possible participation of college community that we can do our best in ensuring we have a safe and healthy campus.
Mission
To promote and strengthen all aspects of safety and health on campus by preparing plans and programs based on the appraisal of known hazards.
Goals
- To support and recommend safety programs that will assist faculty staff and students in achieving excellence in teaching and learning
- To promote the proactive involvement of faculty staff and students in safety matters through communication, education and shared decision making
- To identify and recommend technology applications to achieve safety program goals in the most efficient manner
- To assist in prioritization and evaluation of administrative services in providing a safe environment that meets the needs of students, faculty and staff
Membership
The committee representatives reflect a diversity of functions, specialties and departments across campus, including: faculty, student, FSA, Disability Resources, Physical Plant, Health Services, Technical Services, Special Events, Public Safety, union representation, and Environmental Health and Safety. Appointments are made by the College president and the committee is chaired by the Director of Environmental Health and Safety.

Accident Reporting Procedures
To report an accident or injury, go to the Health Office located in the Siek Campus Center, Suite 270. If you need to report an accident or injury after regular work hours, contact Public Safety. Complete the Injury/Illness Report, giving as much detail as possible. Medical treatment will be rendered and the Injury/Illness Report will be transmitted to the appropriate supervisor, the Environmental Health & Safety Office and the Human Resources Office for processing and follow up.
